the Roots

Sketch Toronto partnered with Toronto Foundation to create a mural for Reconnect 2023 - a national conference which brings together hundreds of community foundation staff and organizations from across the country and the world.

Reconnect with the Roots is inspired by tree roots and water currents, this mural symbolizes the tenacity of Toronto residents. Each panel evokes the relationship between nature and community, emphasizing the lack of affordable housing alongside residents’ determination to work together and build stronger communities.
